DWS Drone School Inc. — www.dwsdroneschool.com — in partnership with 3DAerialTec, is seeking experienced professional photographers, videographers, and virtual reality content creators to serve as Independent Contract Instructors for a live online 3D / 360 Virtual Reality Training Program.
This program is designed to provide students with hands-on instruction in virtual reality photography, 3D virtualization systems, immersive media production, and professional VR content development. The goal is to educate, empower, and prepare students for career opportunities in the rapidly growing virtual reality, digital twin, immersive media, real estate imaging, mapping, and creative technology industries.
Instructors will teach students how to capture, edit, and produce professional 360° VR experiences using industry tools such as the Insta360 One X5 camera, Matterport software, VR editing platforms, and live virtual classroom technology.
Program Details
- Program Format: Live Online Instruction
- Course Length: 21 Contact Hours
- Curriculum: Provided by DWS Drone School / 3DAerialTec
- Delivery Method: Virtual classroom instruction with live demonstrations
- Student Audience: College-level learners through the BHU partnership

Key Responsibilities
Selected 3D / 360 Virtual Reality Instructors may be responsible for:
- Delivering interactive live online training sessions
- Teaching 3D and 360° virtual reality photography concepts
- Demonstrating techniques for capturing immersive VR photos and video
- Providing real-time feedback and instruction during live sessions
- Guiding students through VR content creation, editing, and production workflows
- Helping students understand how VR tools are used across industries such as real estate, construction, mapping, training, education, tourism, and digital media
Technical Training Areas
Instructors will teach students how to:
- Operate 360° cameras and 3D scanning equipment
- Capture VR content using the Insta360 One X5 camera
- Create virtual environments using Matterport software
- Understand the technology behind VR imaging and visualization systems
- Use VR editing software and immersive media tools
- Apply best practices for camera setup, positioning, and content capture
Content Creation & Editing Instruction
Instructors will guide students through core creative and technical skills, including:
- Photography and videography fundamentals
- Lighting, shutter speed, lens filters, and camera positioning
- 360° image and video capture techniques
- VR editing and post-production workflows
- Creating immersive VR tours and presentations
- Adding music, narration, and storytelling elements to VR content
- Building professional-quality immersive experiences for client or industry use
Production Planning
Instructors will also help students understand how to plan and manage VR production projects, including:
- Planning a VR photo shoot
- Conducting site assessments
- Understanding safety and access considerations
- Managing pre-production and post-production workflows
- Creating a natural flow for VR tours and immersive experiences
- Preparing content for presentation, delivery, or client use
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of virtual reality and 3D virtualization concepts
- Understand the capabilities and limitations of VR cameras and software
- Safely plan and execute VR photography projects
- Capture high-quality 360° immersive media
- Edit and produce professional virtual reality tours and presentations
- Apply VR production skills to real-world industry use cases
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have:
- Professional experience in photography, videography, immersive media, or related fields
- Experience using 360° cameras or immersive media technology
- Familiarity with Matterport or comparable VR editing software
- Ability to teach live online classes
- Strong communication, presentation, and instructional skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates may also have:
- Experience creating 360° virtual tours
- Experience with real estate VR imaging, mapping, digital twin technology, or immersive walkthroughs
- Teaching, training, coaching, or workshop facilitation experience
- Knowledge of immersive storytelling and VR production workflows
- Experience using VR content for commercial, educational, real estate, construction, tourism, or media applications
